baptisms at Mosaic
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast." (Eph. 2:8-9 ESV)
Jesus gave us, the Church, two ordinances to follow; The Lord's Supper, which we do to remember what Christ has done on the cross for humanity and baptism, which is done to publically declare what Christ has done for us, as an individual accepting his gift of salvation. When we are baptized, we are telling the world that we are a follower of Christ; that he has washed our sins, that we were buried, and rose with him. "We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life." (Romans 6:4 ESV) Just as Jesus died on the cross once, this profession of faith through baptism should only be done once. As believers in Jesus, once Holy Spirit opens our eyes to the gift of salvation that is freely given, baptism should be the very next step.
If you are desiring to take the next step, let us know and we will walk with you through this journey of faith.
